How do you go about saving game play? I am just curious...

I want to learn this as well. It's something I have to explore when I have more time.

I imagine it would be similar to saving variable values to a text file and then load them later when you wish to load your save data.

In DSGM 5.12 I know there are functions relating to writing and reading a file so perhaps there's something similar in DSGM 4.9.

I do not use palib nor C daily, but you guys need to save the elements in a variable and then write them in a text file. It suppose to be an action. easy to figure out, friends.

The 4.9 version has some example project which explains how saving works! Take a look at that

none of my games need saving.. it was just a general question to get some conversation in this version...

currently i'm actually taking a break from coding with dsgm as i am working on a pc pokemon card collecting app...
